Returning for a fifth release titled "Gravity," Our Lady Peace, with conjunction
of producer Bob Rock, have again made concrete earnest self feelings through an
emotional venture into the soul. Though the previous release "Spiritual
Machines" marked an experimental move for the band, powerful chords of the
modern Rock world come alive once again with the newest addition. The title
track "Somewhere Out There" has integrated the bold and almost rippling vocal
presence of singer Raine Maida with sensual assistance from guitar, bass, and
drums. Sectioned with human weakness and toppled by the relentless hopeful
outlook to a higher presence is craftily rifted side by side.
Purged with the insatiable themed quest to find yourself in a surrounding world
that is not so kind to adventurers is accelerated through songs like "Made of
Steel" and "Sorry." Coordinated in a way that allows each member's artistic
views and rhythmic development to be equally distributed, the natural course of
peaceful tranquility is encompassing. Ten tracks, each with a notable presence
on the completed work, cascade along to emphasis on each and every lyric whose
soul purpose is superbly achieved.
