Review by Steve

First of all, I have been to 4 OLP shows so far, and there's no doubt that the crowd definitely wasnt into this one. Greenwheel was pretty good and Im glad the concert started on time. When OLP came on, the lights behind them were so bright I couldn't see the band and they stayed blinding for most of the show. The music was excellent (steve's solos were flawless) but there was very little standing room, and most of the crowd had "assigned seats", as if we are in kindergarten. The band did all they could, but i don't think they got the respect from the college crowd, that they very clearly deserve. I loved how they entered the stage and broke right into an extended beginning of "the wonderful future". Just a note: It could just be me, but I think shows are better when we are able to be close to the band and close to the other fans. Fans who are there for the music, not just something to do on a Friday night. Despite it all, i would do it all over again, for the band....im ready to go again.  : )
