Ok, so it started out slow in a really great venue (Nextstage in Grand Prarie)
when the lead dude from 3 Doors Down came out and introduced some band from
Mississipi called Bad Charism. They weren't too bad, they were just too heavy
and they sounded like everything else on the radio. Anyways, Seether came out
next and wow. No one, and I mean no one was moshing. It was sad because
Seether's really not bad they're just too heavy for my taste. After they played
I started shaking. I was like freaking out in between the bands and I just about
lost it when they lowered the OLP backdrop. It was cool and by the way, I'm 14
and this was my first OLP concert not to mention my first REAL concert. So when
the boys came on I stood up. I did not sit down until they left. I was like the
only one standing in my little section thing. People are just stupid and had no
idea what they were in for. They started off with All For You, which was
perfect, then Whatever, and then Superman's Dead. After that, Raine started
talkiing about going back to the studios and then asked us if it was alright if
they played 2 new songs. So then they played Wipe That Smile Off Your Face,
which kicked more ass than Jackie Chan and Walking in Circles (I couldn't really
hear what Raine was singing, but it was still a good song). Innocent was
decently played after those two and then, if I remember correctly, Clumsy
started. Birdman rocked the house when Raine finally said, "Hey, isn't this a
rock concert? Shouldn't everyone be on their feet?". He did the little push
thing and fell on his ass during the wonderful rendition and might I say, he did
look fine. Mmmm...Hahaha, so anyway, the crowd started going wild when *sigh*
Somewhere Out There started. Now, don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the
song, but it just makes me sad to know that people out there listen more to the
radio than music. But ya, so there were crowd surfers and everything. It was
cool, then right before Starseed, Raine spoke up and said how it was their last
night on the tour and how many "fuckin' assholes" they've met along the way in
this business. When it was all over, I turned to my sister and said "Hey, you
wanna go??". Sorry, 3 Doors Down, we knew that Our Lady Peace had already showed
every other band there what good music is. Over all, the concert was awesome,
considering it was my first but, I just wish Duncan was there then it would've
been even better.
