I do not remember the name of the first guy (Joel Shearer) to play, but he was part of the band The Pedestrians. He was awesome, and Jeremy and Duncan came out for his last song. I really enjoyed the song, it was great getting to hear Jeremy and Duncan play something that was so stylistically different than Our Lady Peace music.

Next was Danko Jones, which had everyone in my area (myself included) going "I thought we came to an OLP show". I really liked Danko himself, he was extremely amusing; he kept shouting "Our Lady Peace" then whispering "Danko Jones" while the crowd was going crazy for OLP then he would say "Why thank you Boston Massachusettes!" The music itself wasn't too bad, I would have been into a lot more had I been there to see a heavier show. And if anyone knows what actually happened to him and the four guys from Rhode Island, I would love to know.

Then Our Lady Peace started to set up. Just as the lights went off, someone points up in the balcony and shouts "Johnny Damon" there was a two minute period that the crowd went nuts, and everyone turned trying catch a glimpse of him, but OLP took the stage and the crowd joined right in, singing Picture along with the band. I have to admit, I don't know their new stuff, I haven't bought the CD yet, so I didn't know much of the setlist, but their live show impressed me as usual. They played a nice mix of old and new, some bands tend to forget about their older stuff by the time their sixth album is out, but their second song was Starseed, and third was Innocent. The crowd was awesome (after spending two hours in line in the rain, we were all glad to finally see OLP).

This was the first concert I've been to in a long time, and I couldn't be happier. They all put on an amazing show. Their encore was 4 am, a song off the new album, Somewhere Out There and Superman's Dead. During Somewhere Out There someone got hurt (we think... Raine asked "Is she okay? She doesn't look okay...") so they replayed the end of the song.
I really enjoyed the part of the night when Raine came to the front of the stage and interacted with the crowd. Someone from Maine brought their (awesome) license plate that read "ILUVOLP" and Raine came over and picked it up saying "Is this for real? You really did this?" And accepted a CD from another person. Then there was the trashing of George Bush (during Wipe That Smile Off Your Face), which the MA crowd loved.

All in all a great night. I'd spend two more hours in the rain anytime to see them.
