September 7, 2003 (Morning)
Great show yesterday in Barrie! OLP blew
everyone away. Raine's voice was definitely on, and the band just rocked!
The crowd participation was unbelievable!
Raine and Duncan were on
Edge 102 during Edgefest
yesterday! They talked about the new CD, that they have 12 songs done,
that they are hoping to record another 12-15 songs, and are doing most of
writing in Toronto, but recording in Hawaii (in Oct) and hope to have CD out in
the new year. They also said they love how they are isolated without
managers, record company etc. They spoke about surfing and Duncan said he is
probably the worst in the band. Raine said how Jeremy stayed behind an extra 10
days in Hawaii as he really digs surfing. Thanks to Gail for the summary.
Jeremy was on
Mojo Radio on Friday and
according to Mike, he chatted about Edgefest, about covering The Beatles, The
Cars and Imagine, their upcoming DVD and their favourite city to play.
Jeremy said their fave is Toronto "home is great", New York, as well as some
place in Wyoming. Thanks to Mike for the info.
Check out these
pictures from Steve and Jeremy's visit at the Edge this past Tuesday. Thanks
to Gail for the link.

If you are a Sympatico Internet Subscriber, don't miss the
Bell
Sympatico High Speed Concert Tour with Our Lady Peace from November 5th to
19th. The performance will be available online for the two week
window detailed above. The webcasts are approximately 30-45 minutes long and are
indexed by individual songs – so you can watch them all or skip right to your
favourites! Thanks to Believer for the news.
The following is a rundown from a fan of what was said by Jeremy and Steve
during their recent visit to
Edge 102 in Toronto. "They were talking about being in Hawaii, with
the surfing, writing, etc. Jeremy seems to think he's a pretty good surfer I
guess, Steve said he's still working on it. The recording is being done live,
basically in single takes, compared to past albums where they were just
overdubbing and overdubbing, as Jer said. They talked about Edgefest, how
they've been playing since 94, how that feels for Jer for people to still be
interested in them. He mentioned when he was like 15, I think, he was at a U2
concert at the Gardens or something, and he was selling fake U2 merch outside,
then he apologized to Bono for that. Pretty funny stuff. As for Summersault,
they said it would happen again if they felt it would be fun for them and for
the other bands involved. They were asked what kind of lineup they'd like, Steve
said Deftones, but Jer said they've already had them in the lineup for a show,
or a couple of shows, so they couldn't come back. He then mentioned System and
Interpol would be cool. They're writing all the time, it sounds like, they go
back to Hawaii every once in a while to record, new record maybe next spring,
next summer, maybe a year from now, they weren't decisive at all about it.
Sounds like they just want to see how things go." Thanks to Stu for the
rundown.

we are not keen on posting news about Our Lady Peace's personal lives. However,
Chantal recently announced to her fans during a show that she will be having a

meaningful charities related to Children such as
War Child Canada, we are sure
they will be the best parents the newborn could have. Thanks to all that
informed us of this news.

Every once in a while on Tulsa's Modern Rock station down, they decide to play a

they chose to play the entire "Live" album. Considering OLP gets little to no
airplay in this area, it was quite surprising to hear the entire CD.
