Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and upcoming New Years to all.  We just wanted to apologize for the recent lack of updates.  This is due to the fact that we are both on holidays, and that there is really nothing much to report during this time of year.  Please stay tuned to the site after New Years, when things should be back to normal.  Peace, Rich and Shelley.

According to Amazon.com, OLP's DVD will be arriving there after December 24, 2003 so this might be the new release date for the re-release of the DVD in the US.  Thanks to Brian M for keeping us informed.

If you purchased the DVD from amazon.ca, here is the info a fan received after emailing them about her replacement DVD.  "Thanks for contacting us at Amazon.ca concerning this gift.  I am sorry to hear that the item was defective. We are not able to replace the "Our Lady Peace-Live" at this time, but will be happy to send a refund so you can re-order. Please write back to us with the order number or sender's email address so we can process the refund. DVD Update!  It appears that not all stores have received the re-release of the DVD yet.  Please be patient and hopefully they will receive it in the next couple of days.

OLP's page on mtv.com features a section where you can can download the "Somewhere out There" ringtone.  Please be aware that there is a fee for this.  Thanks to Ben for the link.

An email that a fan received from Sony reveals that they hope to have the Replacement DVD on shelves in the first week of December. Another source has reported that HMV is expecting to receive the DVD on December 9, 2003. Thanks to Brian and Rich for the info.

Olivia has informed us that it is cheaper for Europeans to buy the DVD on Amazon.ca and import the DVD themselves rather than purchasing from the Amazon UK site. Thanks Olivia for keeping us informed. Please be aware that some DVDs are encoded regionally so please ensure it will work in your area before purchasing.  Thanks to Tom for the info.

It appears that the OLP Live DVD will be released in the UK on import from Canada via the Amazon UK site on December 2.  Thanks to Scott for the heads up.

Last Friday night, "Innocent" was played at a basketball game between New York's  St Bonaventure and Pittsburgh's Robert Morris. Thanks to Jason for keeping us informed.

Head over to Chartattack and vote for OLP.  The band is nominated for The Golden Toque Award (best album) for Live and The Blissful Noise Award (best song) for Innocent. Raine Maida is once again nominated for The Throw Your Underwear Award Male (sexiest Canadian man) and The Lord Mullet of Stanley Award (best haircut).  Thanks to Robyn for making us aware of this.

Three of OLP's songs made it on Edge 102's Top 102 Songs of the 90's.  They were: 94- One Man Army, 75- Supermans Dead and 43- Starseed.  Thanks to Michelle for passing this along to us.

Further the post about Playstation's Final Fantasy 9,  the only connection Our Lady Peace has with the game is an unofficial fan-made video that uses the cinematics of Final Fantasy 9 with the song "Not Enough" playing.  It's not in the actual game. Thanks to Rye and David for the correction.

Grab a copy of Tribute Magazine to read an article on OLP's DVD.  Thanks to Yvonne for keeping us informed.

Nikki wanted to pass along the following info about the December 2nd release date of the DVD in the US. After looking at the amazon.com page, she noticed that they  list its format as "import", meaning it's just the DVD imported from Canada. She also wanted to point out that it's actually cheaper for Americans to buy the DVD from amazon.ca than amazon.com.  Thanks to Nikki for passing this along.

We think we may have mentioned this on a earlier date but if not, it appears that OLP's "Not Enough" is featured on Playstation's Final Fantasy 9.  Thanks to Mikael for the heads up.

OLP's "Is Anybody Home?" was heard in the background during a segment of Tom Green Uncensored.

Jeremy called in to the Much Environment and was talking to George and revealed a little tidbit about the new CD. He said that they hope to be finished in about 3 months.  So hopefully the CD will be out earlier than Spring of 2004 as was mentioned previously.  Thanks to Duke for the heads up.

Canadian Band, Dakona (who worked with former OLP producer, Arnold Lanni) have a new CD called "Perfect Change" and in the sleeve, they give special thanks to both Duncan Coutts and Mike Turner.  Thanks to Kendra for keeping us informed.

The November issue of Chart Magazine says that the ninth Annual Reader's Poll is coming up, so we all need to be prepared to vote for OLP. Please note, you do not have to live in the UK to sign it and by signing it, you hopefully will not only be helping OLP's exposure in the UK but in other parts of Europe as well. there was a press conference in Toronto the other day for the WWE and they had fans asking questions of superstars Rey Mysterio Jr. and Trish Stratus.  One of the questions was, at the next PPV in Toronto, do you think that Our Lady Peace can come and play Benoit’s music? Hopefully most of you Canadian Fans got the chance to check out the DVD preview last night.  Looks like we are in for a real treat when it is released on November 11.

Jeremy sighting!  A group of fans spotted Jeremy at an HMV in Toronto on October 4th.  The fact that two of them are from New Jersey, and one from Southern Virginia, and that the three of them had never been to Toronto before, and that they know each other *because* of OLP, makes it almost seem like fate.  Here is a photo they took with Jeremy.  Thanks to Nikki for sharing the story and pic.

Read the banner above for a new "This week in OLP History."  On October 18 in 2002, OLP's "Gravity" went Gold in the USA.  OLP performed at Music Without Borders with Alanis Morrisette, The Barenaked Ladies, and The Tragically Hip on October 21, 2001.  

We apologize to everyone for not getting to your emails as quickly as we normally do.  As we mentioned in a post recently, we have been very busy in our personal lives.

As for contest #10, once again there have been so many entries that we are thinking about running another contest (3rd part).  So keep your eyes on the site for more info.
