What do
you get when you mix one part Watchmen (vocals), one
part Change of Heart (bass), one part Ryan Malcolm
(guitars), with one part Our Lady Peace (drums)?
You get just the prescription you have been needing
during these quiet days of Peace,
Doctor. Last night, the band Doctor opened for
Thornley in a little club in Sarnia, playing an
amazing set from their debut CD. Jeremy was kind
enough to fill in on drums last night, and tonight in
St. Catharines at the grape and wine festival. For
more information on tonight's show, visit the
Doctor
website and look under Tour. Check out a few
pictures we took from the show,

Jeremy
has been co-hosting again on
99.3 The Fox's 6 o'clock rock report this week.
Some topics they discussed were:
-U2's
missing album and the fear of it leaking onto the
internet, and then they used the demo clip of "Vampires"
as an example of how quickly things can spread. They
also mentioned OLP.cc and how the clip was on the site
so fast.
-they
called up Bob Rock and he talked about some things he's
been doing recently and also about Metallica, Simple
Plan and OLP. Bob says he has to do 2 more songs with
OLP before being completely done.
-they mentioned an email about the Labatts'
beer cases and the new song "Not Afraid." Jeremy says that this song
will likely be on the new album, which will come out "tentatively March-ish".
Then they played Not Afraid on the radio. Thanks to Tyler, Jamez and Jen for
emailing us about this.

Last night we caught Jeremy's
drum clinic at Brampton's
Long and McQuade. He started off by capturing the audience with an
improvisational masterpiece that showcased his vast influences and technical
knowledge. He then answered questions from the
audience on everything from drums to the band's history. Some important tidbits
that may interest fans regarding the new CD were,
●
Planned to have the CD finished for September 2004
but it started to feel rushed and they felt they were coming up against a wall
so they decided to take their time. They were in Maui for about 3 months
and LA for about 6 months. They would go into the studio to record 10
songs then take time to write. They have quite a few songs to choose from and
they feel they are close to something special. The CD should be finished by the
fall and out in Early 2005.
● Possible titles for the new
CD are "Vampires" (in the corporate sense) or "Unusual Amount of Common Sense."
July 12, 2004
Jeremy will be holding a Drum Clinic this Thursday (July 15) at 7:00 at Long &
McQuade in Brampton to kick off the store's new Master Class Series. The

Jeremy to answer questions and meet and greet the attendees. The clinic is
open to the general public on a first come, first serve basis for only $10.
You can also signup for a private one-on-one 40 minute lesson from Jeremy.
Further details can be found on the
Long & McQuade's website. Thanks to Jamez and Tim for the info.

Regardless of what you may hear from various sources such as radio stations or
CD shops, the release date for the new OLP CD is not confirmed until officially
announced from Sony/Management or the band members themselves. So even
though dates of October 12 and early 2005 have been tentatively set and may or
may not be true, these have not been officially announced as release dates.
