The String Quartet Tribute Series
is a series of CDs released by
Vitamin Records
that pay tribute to a wide variety of artists in String Quartet form.
They have paid tribute to well over 100 bands including Nickelback, Rush,
System Of A Down, Sum 41, Led Zeppelin, The Cure, Black Sabbath, The White
Stripes and the list goes on. According to fellow fan Josh, they have
not added OLP yet but you may be able to help this become reality. What you
would need to do is sign up to
Todd Mark Rubenstein's
(one of producers of the series) message board, then post in the Suggestions
and Ideas section, either as a topic or a reply to another OLP-related post.
Normally what happens with this is that Todd Mark Rubenstein personally
brings it up to the label and they vote on it.
Josh believes this will work as he
has had at least two bands that he has requested become reality, A Perfect
Circle (out now) and The Pixies (due out this week). If enough people show
an interest and therefore the label believes they can make money on it,
they'll produce it. Thanks to Josh for bringing this to our attention.
Want to learn which bands are
inspired by or sound like OLP? Well check out
Garage Band to find
out about OLP related bands and any other bands you are interested in.
Thanks to Kenny for sending in the link.

Peace Not Just Any Band. Thanks to Tommy for creating it and
