June 29, 2005
Tune into a radio station near you to hear the first single, "Where are you?" from the upcoming CD "Healthy in Paranoid Times."  Thanks to Ben, Dave, Tori, Shawn, and MuffinMan, and Graeme for keeping us posted.

Jeremy was interviewed on Edge 102 in Toronto, ON today and 104.9 The Wolf in Regina, SK yesterday.  Thanks to Dave and Marc for the update.

The ticket information on September's Ovation Music Festival is now available.  A summary of this info can also be found on our Tour page.

Hamilton area's free entertainment weekly named View contains a one page ad for the upcoming Ovation Festival including the image of olp found on our tour page.  If you are in the Hamilton area, be sure to pick one up.  Or if you have a similar periodical in your area, check the pages for this ad.

Edge 102 announced yesterday that Jeremy will be by their studios to talk about the new album on Tuesday June 28. We are assuming it will be during the morning show.  Thanks to Scott for the heads up.

According to MTV News "The Live 8 concerts are coming to MTV and VH1. The July 2 global shows to raise awareness of poverty in Africa will air for eight hours on the network and on VH1, with a mix of sets from the artists..."  Thanks to Scutley for the news.

Read a press release about 'Healthy in Paranoid Times'  In this article, Raine gives a description about what the band tried to accomplish with their upcoming album. The songs, "Where Are You" and "Will The Future Blame Us" are also described, both in their music and their meaning.  Thanks to Ted and Reza for keeping us informed.

June 21, 2005 (Evening)
It is official!!! Live 8 will be held at Park Place in Barrie, Ontario on July 2.  It will run from 11am-8pm, and will be hosted by comedian Tom Green and actor Dan Aykroyd. Our Lady Peace is still on the list of performers and tickets are free, available online this Thursday at 10am. Read another article  about OLP and watch for Jeremy's piece which will be featured in the July artist-written issue of Chart.  Thanks to Ted and Kaegan for sharing this.

According to a fellow fan, Jeremy was on Edge 102's Dean Blundell show on Friday and he played a clip of "Where Are You."  It features a Jeremy count-off into the song that they kept playing over and over. Also the chorus sounded like there was a female doing harmonies with Raine. The new single, "Where Are You" will debut on June 29 at 8 AM on the Dean Blundell show. During his appearance, Jeremy mentioned Raine and Duncan's kids and got in some arguments with another guest, Gino, and one of the co-hosts. Thanks to Tobi for keeping us informed.

Read an article about OLP.  More confirmations are made and hints about upcoming shows are revealed. "In celebration of Healthy In Paranoid Times, Our Lady Peace are planning a series of special shows in New York City and Los Angeles, which will then be followed by a major national tour."  Thanks to Ted for keeping us informed.

June 18, 2005 (Afternoon)
According to two sources (Live Daily, Billboard), there will be a Live DVD (recorded during the band's 2003 North American "Fear of the Trailer Park" tour) released on August 30th.  The Billboard article also lists the following songs as being on the CD, also set for release on August 30: "Will the Future Blame Us," "Angels/Losing Sleep," "An Apology," "Walking in Circles" and "Picture." In this article from MTV, it is stated that "in addition to the conventional CD release, a DualDisc edition will also hit stores, featuring an in-depth look at the making of the LP." Thanks again to Kaegan for sending in the link.

It has been confirmed!  According to this article, OLP will play Live 8 in Barrie, Ontario with Billy Talent. Thanks again to Reza for all her support and hard work in keeping us updated on everything OLP.

According to an article in the National Post, OLP are considered possible performers for Live 8 in Toronto on July 2nd. Thanks to Reza and Mike for sending this in.

Another confirmation just in from FMQB.  OLP's first single will be "Where Are you?"  Thanks to SaturdayNightz from the CM for the update.

Some new artists have been added to the line-up, there is an upcoming show in St Catharines (not sure who will be there with Daniel Victor), and the album is due out in August.  For more info, click here.  Also be sure to check out the album artwork and track listing. Head to the MMVA section of the Muchmusic site for a section called 'Rewind' for highlights of the past Muchmusic Video Awards. OLP is shown accepting awards in 1997 and 2001. Thanks to Chelsea for making us aware of this.

According to an article on The Star Online, Marion Raven has been working on her solo album and has collaborated with great producers, singers and songwriters like  Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida. Thanks to Reza for always keeping us informed.

According to the message board on Chantal's site, someone mentioned they heard on eTalk Daily that Chantal said she had her baby and the name is Luca/Luka. This can be both a boy's or girl's name, so we still don't know what the gender is.  Thanks to Karen for keeping us posted.

Rumour has it that Raine and Chantal are now proud parents once again. Congrats!!!  The gender and name of the baby is unknown at this time.  Thanks to Christopher for keeping us informed.

OLP are being considered for a Canadian Live 8 concert July 2 to promote awareness of world poverty.  Read the details here. Thanks to Jeff for the heads up. 

According to this article on Canoe, the OLP CD is one of the hot new summer CDs and will be released on July 26.  Thanks to Reza for the link.

According to this week's "Radio and Records" magazine, the new album is out in the US on August 16th and the new single comes out June 7.  The first single is called "Best Days".  Thanks to Adam for the info.

Big news just coming in from fans and web sources all over the net, Our Lady Peace have been added to the Rolling Stones bill in Ottawa on August 28. OLP have also joined the line-up in Moncton on September 3rd along with the Tragically Hip.  More info can be found in our tour section.  Thanks to all the people who emailed us, there were too many to list.

Drop by Promosquad for new song clip updates in their Jukebox.  The three songs available for listening are "Will the Future Blame Us," "Angels Losing Sleep," and "Where Are You." The first two songs were the same clips that have been available previously, but the third, "Where Are You" is a new version of the song that used to be called "Best Day of Your Life." The intro and first verse are the same as they were before, but the vocals and lyrics of the chorus have been totally redone. Thanks to Jay for the news.

A fellow fan has been informed by their Sony rep that the first single will be available in the next 60 days.  So stay tuned.  Thanks to Christal for the scoop.

New tour date announced!  Today on Edge 103.3 in Buffalo, Jeremy announced that OLP will be playing at the Buffalo Edgefest. Tickets on sale Friday May 27th at 4PM through Ticketmaster for $35. Thanks to Sab, Marypretends, Bill and Jamie for the heads up.

According to Marie on the Clumsy Congress, there is an OLP ad on page 13 of the new issue of Chart Magazine (with Nardwuar on the cover) which says the CD will be released in August.  Thanks to Nikki for the update. 

Katherine Moennig who was in OLP's video for "Is Anybody Home?" is now one of the leading women on the new show the L-word.  Thanks to Derek for keeping us informed.

According to Marie on the Clumsy Congress, the July release date has changed. Thanks to Nikki again for making us aware of this.

However, the DJ on Edmonton's radio station 100.3 the Bear said that Our Lady Peace have been in the studio, and they've laid down 45 tracks with Bob Rock. Now, they are sifting through them finding the best ones to go on the album. Also they've quoted that the album should be released in August. Thanks to Sgt. Clumsy for the heads up.

Sorry guys for the lack of updates lately.  We have been very busy and we haven't really had a lot to report.

On May 2, the cast of "House of Wax" was interviewed by Matte on Muchmusic.  One of the questions was "If you could play with one band who would it be?" Cast member, Jared Padalecki (wearing an OLP t-shirt) responded with "Our Lady Peace, they are my favourite band!" Thanks to Chelsea, Brad, and Darren for making us aware of this.

Two more confirmations that OLP's CD will be released in July were made by Marie on the Clumsy Congress and 96.9 The Fox. Thanks to Nikki and Reza for the updates.

Check out this band called  The Cleansing Fire.  The drummer and guitarist are greatly influenced by OLP along with a lot of other bands. Thanks to Kyle (the guitarist) for sending in the link.

Listen to 2 more bands heavily influenced by OLP from Portland, OR.  One called Camorra and the other Matchstick Men. Thanks to Chris for sending these our way.

According to some fellow fans who attended the Drum Summit yesterday, Jeremy said that the new CD is going to be called "Healthy in Paranoid Times" which is taken from a line in "Don't Stop".  He also said that a new single should be released soon and the band is looking to release the new CD in July.  Thanks to everyone who made us aware of this.
