Brampton, and are coming from out of town,

questions, call the Tourism Info Line at 905-874-3601. It is staffed 24/7 and
will be answering calls through the Christmas Break leading up to the event.

New Year's Eve Celebrations - Something for All! Start Your Fun Early with
the family! Kick off the afternoon with Midway rides from 2:30 PM to 9PM.
There will be a Carousel, Ferris Wheel and 2 Trains. Tickets for these rides are
$2 each or 3 for $5. And don't forget skating at Gage Park.
At 6PM the Children's Stage opens and features the following acts to
delight the kids!
· Miss Spider Patch
· Bananas in Pyjamas
· Care Bears
· Snoopy
· Petunia & Chester the Clown
· Madame Buskerfly
· Greg Tarlin
There will be some character meet and greets as well watch for Fairly
Odd Parents, Bananas in Pyjamas plus Snoopy and Petunia & Chester!
The traditional fireworks at 9PM from the top of City Hall promises to
thrill all!
Comedy, Centre Stage Winners, followed by David Usher and finally Our
Lady Peace ending the night around a new and incredible countdown and
light display from the roof of the Rose Theatre at midnight. A wristband
policy for main stage viewing will be in effect for this event.
To make it easy to get in and out of the downtown on this night, ride
one of four FREE Brampton Transit Shuttle Services to and from the event
as parking is limited. The Nelson Square Parking Garage will be
dedicated reserved parking for VIP guests and restaurant patrons with
advance reservations at the downtown restaurants.
Road closures and other information will be distributed throughout the
downtown by City staff as it becomes available.
The night is going to be amazing, definitely the place to be for New
Year's Eve.

It is official! OLP will be playing in
Brampton, ON on Dec 31, 2008 with David Usher. Hope to see you all there

Rumour has it that OLP's song, "The Right Stuff"
will be the first single and will be debuting on
Power 97 in Winnipeg on
November 17 during the six o'clock Rock Report. Thanks to Robyn for

article, OLP's 7th major release is expected to be released in early 2009

the band, Our Lady Peace, along with other great Canadian acts will scatter
across the city performing on major street corners, in parks and in building
atriums. These amazing artists will be on a mission to inspire people to donate
generously to War Child Canada, through donations collected at each site, as
well as online donations, which can be made

children around the world whose lives have been affected by war.

OLP played Cape Breton, NS on September
11 and St John's, Newfoundland on September 12. During the shows two new
songs, "The Right Stuff" and "White Flag" were heard. You can hear a clip

Charlottetown tonight and reported that a new song, "Dreamland" from their

We apologize for the lack of updates.
Hopefully, once OLP have completed their next CD, we will have more information
to report. At this time, the band is working on their 8th official release
and there are rumours that we could be listening to it by late 2008 or early
2009.
In other news, tune into American Idol this evening to hear "Innocent" sung by
fellow fan and contestant, David Cook. It is sure to be fantastic
considering how well he has done in past performances. Thanks to Ron for
the heads up on the
